AAC originally used 1:8 twist on the factory barrels. Later they went to 1:7 twist.

1:8 is fine for 220 bullets or liter. 1:7 is best for heavier bullets or shorter barrels than 16”. I prefer 1:7 so I never have to worry about stability.

My pistol is 1:7, my carbine is 1:11 and my bolt is 1:8.

I personally don’t think BLK cares about twist OR people are over thinking subs. My 1:11 groups subs the same as my 1:7 out to 50yrds. Which is the limit of a subs practical nature.
